Pakloop

A stronger rescue community. Together.

Pakloop is the app that runs a rescue's team and keeps its money healthy, built by a foster who saw how hard rescues work just to stay afloat.

The problem

Rescues run on heart. Their tools haven't caught up.

Buried in group chats

Urgent dogs, foster requests and rides get lost in long message threads.

Money is always reactive

Vet bills arrive first, then someone scrambles to post an appeal.

The same few people carry everything

Volunteers burn out when fostering, driving and admin land on a handful of people.

Nothing built just for rescues

Most software runs the office (records and adoptions), not the team or the money.

Why I built Pakloop

Every rescue has a story like this.

It starts with a photo, a Facebook post, a Craigslist ad, Instagram stories...

Then you see a dog sitting in a crowded shelter. Scared, confused, and running out of time. Maybe she's been overlooked for weeks. Maybe she's injured. Maybe her family surrendered her because they couldn't afford her care.

Someone shares her picture, and a rescue sees it.

They want to say yes. Of course they do.

But first, they have to figure out how.

The rescue is already over capacity. Every foster home is full. There are outstanding veterinary bills, three other dogs waiting for transport, and volunteers who have already spent their entire week juggling emergencies.

Still, someone starts making calls.

Messages go out to group chats. Facebook posts get shared. Volunteers tag friends. Someone offers to foster, but only for a few days. Another person can drive half the distance, but someone else has to cover the rest.

Meanwhile, the clock is ticking.

That's why I started Pakloop.

I'm Brittany, and I foster for several animal rescues here in Austin.

I've seen firsthand how much heart goes into rescue. I've also seen how much of that heart gets spent trying to hold everything together.

These organizations aren't short on compassion, dedication, or people willing to help. They're often short on time, money, resources, and systems that make it easier for everyone to work together.

By day, I work in software, helping small healthcare practices run more efficiently. I've seen what happens when you give a small team the right tools. Things stop falling through the cracks. People get time back. Decisions become easier. And suddenly, a team that was barely keeping up can do so much more.

I kept thinking about the rescues I foster for.

What if they had that same kind of support?

  • What if an urgent foster request could reach the right people immediately instead of getting buried in a group chat?
  • What if every volunteer, transport offer, application, and veterinary appointment could be coordinated in one place?
  • What if rescues could see exactly what they owed, what they'd raised, and what they needed before the next emergency happened?
  • What if donors could see the difference their contributions were making, and people who wanted to help actually had an easy way to do it?
  • And what if rescue directors could spend less time chasing information, managing spreadsheets, and worrying about the next bill, and more time doing what brought them into rescue in the first place?

That's the idea behind Pakloop.

Not another complicated system to learn. Not another expense that adds to an already stretched budget.

A platform designed around how rescues actually work, built to bring the people, animals, operations, and funding together.

Because saving a life will never be simple. There will always be emergencies, difficult decisions, and animals who need more than anyone expected.

But the work behind saving that life shouldn't have to be so hard.

Every rescue deserves the tools to do more than survive the next emergency.

Every volunteer deserves to feel supported.

Every foster deserves to know they aren't doing it alone.

And every animal deserves the chance to become someone's favorite part of coming home.

One dog. One rescue. One happy ending at a time.

Every hour a volunteer doesn't spend chasing messages, receipts and reminders is an hour for a ride, a foster or a vet visit. Every dollar a rescue can see coming is a dollar that saves another life. That's what Pakloop is for.
